The POAS-E provides greater visibility into these conditions by combining built-in power failure monitoring with support for multiple external sensors and online data logging.

POAS-E Notification Options

Email alerts are included with the POAS-E and can be sent to an unlimited number of contacts.

Facilities that require additional notification methods can add a subscription for text-message and automated telephone-call alerts. Using more than one notification channel can help reach personnel according to the facility’s staffing model and emergency response procedures.

Refrigerator and Freezer Temperature Monitoring

Optional temperature sensors can be connected to monitor conditions inside refrigerators, freezers, cold rooms, and other temperature-controlled environments.

Users can establish acceptable operating limits and receive an alert when a monitored temperature rises above or falls below the programmed range. Depending on the probe selected, the system can support applications ranging from standard pharmaceutical refrigerators to ultra-low-temperature freezers.

Recorded sensor readings are stored through the online platform, giving authorized users access to historical information that may support internal reviews, incident investigations, and temperature-management procedures.

The POAS-E supports up to 10 additional sensors, allowing a facility to monitor several pieces of equipment or different environmental conditions through one monitoring device.

How POAS-E Monitoring Works

1. Connect : The monitoring device communicates through the facility’s Ethernet network.

2. Monitor : The system continuously checks utility power and all connected sensors.

3. Detect : When a monitored condition moves outside its programmed limits, the system identifies the alarm condition.

4. Notify : Complimentary email alerts are sent to the designated contacts. Subscription plans can add text-message and telephone-call notifications.

5. Review : Authorized personnel can sign in to the web portal to assess current conditions, acknowledge the alarm, and review recorded sensor information.
